New iPad ® application provides sales associates with a quick and efficient way to enter forecast and collaborate with other manufacturing departments
WILMINGTON, DE. USA – February 3, 2015 — Arkieva (arkieva.com), the designer and provider of the Arkieva suite of Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software tools for manufacturing companies, announced today the launch of their new mobile application, Sales Central.
Arkieva Sales Central was designed to serve the needs of sales representatives who travel frequently. Standard features include the ability to easily submit forecast to the enterprise system of record while online or offline as well as built in data security to limit access based on account restrictions and the connectivity to submit overrides to the cloud. Notifications have been included to ensure the user that all demand data is current.
“The addition of Sales Central to the Arkieva suite is only the beginning of our 2015 innovations. We decided to create this application as a direct response to what we were hearing from our customers,” said Sujit Singh, chief operating officer at Arkieva. “We noticed that sales teams are only being issued mobile devices so we decided that we needed to create this application so they could provide input remotely and participate in the collaborative forecasting process.”
Sales Central also provides the user the capability to view past and future sales and forecast data ranging from a few months to multiple years. The layout of Sales Central also allows dynamic reallocation of forecast so that top-down or bottom-up forecasting is available. Various attributes are also included, allowing the user to slice data as needed and run powerful analytics to review product trends.
“Sales representatives have carried around laptops and forecast changes were sent via email which sometimes resulted in delays, and data errors,” said Sanjiv Raman, product manager of Arkieva. “Today, they carry around mobile devices and with the Sales Central application they can manage forecast changes on the road. The mobility and convenience of this application will help bring organization and collaboration into the demand planning process.”
Arkieva Sales Central is tightly integrated with the Arkieva Demand Planner and Supply Chain Planning suite.
