Company focus now entirely on the development and delivery of its advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software for global manufacturers

WILMINGTON, DEL – October 17, 2011 – Supply Chain Consultants, developer of the Zemeter suite of products for supply chain planning, announced today that it is now Arkieva™.   The name change refers to the company and its supply chain planning software solutions and becomes effective immediately.

“SCC was founded on technical competence in supply chain planning,” said Harpal Singh, CEO and co-founder of Arkieva. “While our software has always been a large part of our business, it is now all we do, and our new corporate identity reflects that.”

Arkieva has rapidly become a standard in software tools for advanced planning and scheduling (APS) in a variety of industries including foods, chemicals, industrial fabrics and fibers, glass, and semi-conductors.  In 2011, revenue from Arkieva software sales was up more than 20% from 2010, driven by new client additions and revenues from strategic partners.  Arkieva tools are used by industry majors across the globe including AkzoNobel, INEOS, Sunsweet Growers, Momentive, INVISTA, ANADIGICS, and others.  Arkieva solutions support planning teams in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

In 2001, Arkieva introduced its own suite of supply chain software solutions under the brand name Zemeter, offering a fully integrated suite of planning tools in a Microsoft-centric solution.  Early company revenues were a mix of OEM software fees, integration fees, and consulting revenues.  In 2009, however, revenues were entirely based on software sales and support.  Since its founding, Arkieva’s business has always been directed at effective Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) including demand management, inventory management, supply planning, and plant scheduling.

In 2010, the company released its third generation of planning software with the release of the latest version of the Arkieva Finite Scheduler.

In response to the growing requirements of Arkieva’s software customers, new management appointments have been made to support software implementation, optimization, and product development.  “We are also adding to our development team and bringing in new talent to strengthen our competitive position,” added Singh.
