WILMINGTON, DE, USA – June 12, 2014 – Arkieva (arkieva.com) the designer and supplier of the Arkieva suite of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software products, which include solutions for sales and operations planning (S&OP), demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply planning, announced today the appointment of Garry Morton to the position of director of sales.
Morton joined Arkieva in October 2013 as sales account manager. In his new position he is responsible for the company’s worldwide sales operations and managing and identifying strategic partnerships. His primary focus is providing best-of-breed planning solutions for manufacturers who are seeking to gain the maximum value from their supply chain.
Morton has more than 25 years of experience providing sophisticated business solutions. A substantial part of his career was with Unisys Corporation where he held a variety of senior positions. He brings with him a unique blend of skills including keen business acumen, solid technical understanding, business development, business critical program development, and a track record of providing clients with business focused solutions.
Prior to joining Arkieva, Morton was with Heraeus Corporation, a precious metals company; as customs compliance project manager, he identified business critical customs compliance requirements and established teaming relationships (internal and external), cross functions, locally, globally, with suppliers and partners. He developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all customs compliance procedures.

Morton has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
